Instagram/Technology Issues

Technology is absolutely awesome but every now and then it turns against us. This week we've had a few reports of an Instagram account that was created that is causing us some problems. The account is spreading rumors, claiming to be different students and saying inappropriate things. On our end, as with most "issues" we are trying to treat this as a teachable moment. We pride ourselves with our Anti-Bullying efforts which includes appropriate uses of technology but with everything else we do, we can always use some help. Please have a discussion with your child not only about Instagram, but with all forms of technology, bullying and the dangers associated with the internet.
